Hey Ciaran - are you confident about Service Tree for this one?

Looks more like Gleditsia triacanthos.

Hum... I guess that means it's still a question mark. My plant id app said albizia julibrissin. Ciaran says sorbus domestica and you think gleditsia triacanthos. I don't think the pics are bad so I'm not sure how to get a definite verdict on this one.

Albizia is bipinnate. There’s a YouTube video supposedly on growing Albizia but showing a different tree with pinnate leaves so there can be confusion. I think I need to raid the neighbours and get leaves for comparison. It’s not a reflection on your pictures. Sometimes young plants are harder to identify than older trees.

Does not fit the description CNM gives. Where are the bipinnate leaves with finely toothed margins?

Description needs updating, leaves should be pinnate not bipinnate. This is a young plant which immature foliage and so is perhaps looking different to an adult. But I don’t know that I’d say the leaves are finely toothed in my experience. I’ll check a description in the morning. Not that one can see that detail in these images necessarily anyway

Pinnate or bipinnate - both options apparently are found. See description in https://apps.lucidcentral.org/plants_se_nsw/text/entities/gleditsia_triacanthos.htm
or https://plantnet.rbgsyd.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/NSWfl.pl?page=ns

Thanks guys - reminds me that I need to find it again and remove it.

Take another photo of the more mature plant. Then take it out before it's forgotten.
