Sorry amiessmacro, this isn't a Violet Copper - refer CNM Paralucia crosbyi for excellent images of that species. Your sighting is either of the superficially similar Erina acasta/Erina hyacinthina. Unfortunately without an underside image we're unable to confirm to species hence the Erina sp. (genus) confirmation.
