Hoary Sunrays spreading very well in Valour Park, Watson ACT 2602, Competing Well in an Introduced Grassy Weeds area, which is frequently "managed" with lawn mowers. So nice to see this Threatened Endemic species Holding its own in this Mt Majura habitat zone.

Hoary Sunrays like it open so mowing (or burning) at the right time is a good way to encourage them (as it would be for most native forbs).
The lower slopes at the nearby FoMM project the Fair have thick grass thatch developing over the past 2 LaNina years. These lower slopes with their deep soils were perhaps Tall Grassy Woodland. Anyhow the hoary sunrays that spread to the lower slope over the years of drought seemed to have been overwhelmed by thatch and disappeared this year.
