Can I get a confirmation that this grevillea is actually a native of AB? Our Patch says the only grevillea in AB is g. alpina. Maybe it is native to other areas of the ACT and not AB? In which case it needs to be labelled with an airplane. :-)

Local to the ACT where it tends to grow along river corridors, i'd be surprised if it grew naturally on Black mountain sandstone. It also depends on the subsp, I suspect this plant is (juniperina subsp. sulphurea)which isn't local to the ACT.

Another question - there was a Grevillea juniperina subsp. fortis confirmed by you yesterday that is at the Pinnacles Reserve. From what I can see on the map, it does not seem to appear near a major waterway or drainage. I know nothing of soils, but where the grevillea is in AB, it is a rocky hillside albeit very much clay. I'll take a walk over to see the grevillea at the Pinnacles, but if they can have a native Grevillea juniperina sub fortis, why can't we? I also note that the Pomaderris that I found recently is near the Grevillea and I haven't see one anywhere else in AB. It seems weird that both these plants were planted. They are down the hillside from the houses. Why would anyone plant them there?

Actually the Pinnacles one was confirmed 21 Dec but if you look at the confirmation history it says yesterday. That is weird too.
