Only the second Australian record of this species - a rare find indeed

This specimen was on rotten wood on the underside of a long-dead branch lying on the ground.

This species has been found in several countries but thus far it appears to have been found only once in Australia, near Gunningbland, a little west of Parkes in NSW. I have checked that the spores of the specimen shown here have a a warty surface, thereby ensuring that it is not the smooth-spored Arachnocrea stipata.
