Millipede about 50mm. Very beautiful pattern and colours.

Beautiful millipede Trevor, I can only key it to Juliforma, the superorder at the moment. It looks a lot like a Spirobolida but is too long. Do you have a front on view of the head at all?

Is it generally a good idea to get a good frontal shot of the head for millipedes, or just for ID of this genus in particular? I'm always up for knowing what angles to take for better millipede IDs in the future.

Yes, front on for Spirobolida, the other really useful view is the legs on the first 8 segments or so, some have single pairs of legs on the first few segments- often they won’t play ball and give a clear view!
