Bug about 6mm under log.

Kim Pullen thinks this is probably a juvenile Flat Bark Bug family aradidae family. I originally thought it might be a juvenile Amorbus, or a tick, but on comparison I think Kim is right.

Oops! I now think this is a juvenile Opistoplatys australasiae, an Assassin bug (Reduviidae)
