The underside looks obscured in this photo. I am not clear how many prolegs it has. a clear lateral view photo would be good. I hope you have it safely in captivity to rear to get an adult moth for ID. Can you get an ID for the plant it was on? Asteraceae?

Yes on Asteraceae. I will check other images for a lateral view. Can it be raised on the flowers of the plant it is on??
