User's notes

My class thinks it is some kind of slug. We liked the red and green stripes. Could it be a Christmas Slug? We found in the Lyneham Primary Forest Classroom.

Your specimen is a beautiful land planarian, Caenoplana bicolor, with a damaged hind end. This will regenerate and the flatworm will eventually will be as good as new.

I love that you're doing this with the students, and Canberra Nature Map has massive potential as an interactive learning tool. We have had some students at Lyneham High School get quite involved, some of them now moderators, and as a result there are quite a few sightings around the high school. They have found 3 or 4 species of flatworm here too!
