This somewhat weedy species is now presumed to be native to the northwest slopes region of NSW, however its expanded distribution is probably the result of agricultural practices (e.g. movement of machinery). Until recently, it was thought to be H. trionum var. trionum, which is native to Europe and Central Africa.... (This is an extract from Plantnet)
