In mid-January I found praying mantis egg sac just moments after it had been deposited - https://canberra.naturemapr.org/sightings/4417999. A week later I found a Boolworm caterpillar deep within the egg sac so I removed it and took the egg sac inside and placed it in a jar. I wasn't sure the remaining eggs would survive. However, I just checked and found hundreds of young had hatched and were swarming around the jar. I took them outside to release back into the Lavendar bush where the sac was first deposited. I hope a lot of them survive.
