I think this is much smaller than Lipotriches australica and is one of the species in the Lipotriches flavoviridis species group. The latter are usually metallic green on the head and thorax. Can you give an indication of the size of the flowers?

Hi Michael,
the flowers are 10mm across and it's (Bursaria spinosa Native Blackthorn). looking at the bee images they appear more metalic than flat black.

Yes I thought it was Bursaria which means the bee is fairly small, taking into account that her abdomen is swollen from ingesting nectar.
