Hi @Birdy, I’m pretty sure this is not a Lycid beetle but rather a Lycid mimic Pseudolycus, possibly Pseudolycus rufipennis (see https://bie.ala.org.au/species/urn:lsid:biodiversity.org.au:afd.taxon:4a29b0aa-f293-42de-ade7-7add79f66fdd#gallery ). They key difference is in the antennae they are feathered in Porrostoma but have flared segments in Pseudolycus. I had to look at dozens of Lycids before I found this.
