I think this moth looks very close to Sinpunctiptilia tasmaniae , see http://lepidoptera.butterflyhouse.com.au/pter/tasmaniae.html
However I note LBH says that species cannot be distinguished from S. emissalis except by microscopic examiniation. Could S. tasmaniae also occur on the mainland?
