Thanks Harvey for your identification. Quite a difference between colour between my image and the images in the book by Theischinger and Hawking " The Complete Field Guide to Dragonflies of Australia" 2010 page 36/37.

The colours of newly emerged and fully mature individual can be quite extreme. It is the details of the markings you need to go by rather than colours at these times.
