Not entirely sure of the ID the head looked redder in real life

You may be right, now that I look closely at the “pincers” I can see they are segmented. It was a fast runner and when I knocked it on its side it wriggled quite vigorously but didn’t right itself. Maybe a beetle larvae mimicking an earwig.
