I think P.mollis has moderate to dense hairs on the foliage, what about Persoonia subvelutina?

Don't think the habitat is right for P. subvelutina. Originally collected in1992 and ID'd then as P. mollis subsp. livens, however this is a different plant and I assumed the same ID. Will collect a bit for proper keying out next week.

Yeah, I agree my suggestion isn't fabulous, I've yet to encouter P.subvelutina out this far east. Hopefully you are able to glean some more info from the follow-up!

Finally got to look at collected specimen in the ANH and closest is P.mollis ssp ledifolia. Foliage on dried specimen definitely hairy.
