Significant sighting

MichaelMulvaney noted:

22 Oct 2021

This is a nationally widespread species but has only been recorded half a dozen times in the ACT - possibly a species that is overlooked. Having petals >4 times the length of the flower tube - long sepals and a flower bigger than 5mm are key features to look out for

User's notes

Wahlenbergia but not sure which one.

Not sure about this one, a good find. :)

Planiflora is the best fit but a side shot of the flower would have made the ID more definitive

Hi Michael,

I'm heading up there again tomorrow, so will try to get a side on shot. They should still be in flower.

@MichaelMulvaney @Tapirlord Hi Michael, I've added two more photos taken today. Photo 4 was taken at a different location but seemed to have the same foliage. Photo 5 was taken at the same location as the original sighting. However, I am a little confused. I took another photo at the same location that seemed to have similar foliage, but the side view of these flowers and the flower petals are hairy. Would this be a different species?
