Found under a log, sitting on the ground, 4-5mm in length. Im taking a wild guess and suggesting this is a mealybug type insect but who knows, Ive never seen one like this before.

I thought this might be a red velvet mite at first Michael, but in the photo with the view of the underside I couldn't make out any clear legs, which makes me wonder of its even an insect.
