The ant had caught the wasp on its own and was later joined by another, the wasp was still alive when the ant started to remove its wing . I didn't stay to see what other parts were removed.

Hi Roger, this ant looks a bit like Crematogaster, but you can tell it's not because it only has one section (known as a petiole) between the main body and the gaster. Crematogaster is in a different subfamily which has two sections ( the petiole and the post-petiole) between the main body and the gaster. Cheers, Jon
