I have a bit of video of them moving around within the swarm. The tree was festooned with these bugs! An amazing sight.

Phenomenal! The biggest gathering of these that I've seen was only a dozen or so, and that was decades ago.

Also seen were more Shield bugs climbing up the smooth trunks of nearby gum trees.
