Garden escapee, this looks to be Acanthus mollis (Bears Breeches, oyster plant). Not recorded on CNM previously so it's interesting to see it growing wild. Native to southern Europe and the Mediterranean, :).

Thanks Ned, this is an environmental weed in parts of Victoria and South Australia. It is potentially one that will become more weedy in the Canberra area as climate change makes the Canberra area more suitable for this species

This looks like what has been planted at an entrance to Isaacs Ridge Nature Reserve. It would be good if the ACT Government put out a list of Do Not Plant This.
