Borer.

Beetle is a Chalcopteroides sp. The other object is an exuviae (empty pupal shell) of a moth, possibly Cossidae or Oecophoridae.

Interesting. This was taken on a Glen Cocking moth night and he told us that is was borer (not the beetle). Taken at night under torchlight.
