Numerous Collembola were trapped in the slimy coating to this mushroom (as you see especially in Photo 2). In Photo 3 you see the slimy 'partial veil' on two caps that are only beginning to open. See the species' notes (https://canberra.naturemapr.org/species/47016) for an explanation of the quotes around the words partial veil.
