User's notes

Cook, suburban garden. Same location as 4373016, and same behaviour of landing in lawn grass rather than shrubs or flowers (which were available). Greyish hindwing underside of 4373016 not evident in this individual: female (4373016) and male?

This looks like a female to me, and the behaviour of landing in the grass also sounds like a female. Have you seen any egg-laying in your yard? This species breeds on soft grasses.

Both definitely landed in the green lawn grass. My photography efforts would have disturbed egg-laying. :-( What marks this one as a female?
