User's notes

I'm surprised that this moth isn't recorded often in the ACT, I've taken 60 photos of it over 10 years, mostly in my garden. Some have had odd fluffy white 'shoulders'. Is that a gender difference?

BOLD Systems 4 shows records of this species 'collected in the ACT'.

The scale extensions come from a fold over the base of the costa in males only. The fold is visible as a curved line when closed, and would have show in photo 2 of this female if it were a male.
