Large active coconut ant nest across several fallen branches, some activity and carton in saplings. Photo 3 was best close-up I could get of an ant, sorry. Their heads were shiny brown, lighter than their abdomens.

Hi Jacky, I’m happy this is P. nitidus based on the carton byre up on the branch - the other species of Papyrius doesn’t seem to do this. Cheers, Jon
