Growing on mallow, aka cheeseweed.

I wonder if you are able to return to the plant and get images of what this looks like now a month later on both sides of the leaf. I'm leaning more towards these being invertebrate eggs (mites?) as they seem too shiny and appear to be deposited on the leaf surface rather than erupting from the leaf.
