At ground level the bark does not cover the circumference of the tree with some dead wood exposed to the air. At 1.3 m the bark does cover the circumference of the tree. The tree has several dead limbs.
Hi Excellent! There are dimensions for two other fallen limbs that I could not fit into the CBN upload. Would you like to have that data? In addition two other fallen limbs were either cut up and partially removed, or had been partially burned. It is not possible to reconstruct their dimensions. FWIW, my estimate is that it is almost certain that none of the fallen limbs fell within the past three months. kind regards Con Boekel
Hi Con, We're only looking for data on branches that have fallen since you first started monitoring the tree, so if those branches fell a while ago then no need to record that data, just future fallen branches. Thanks heaps. Feel free to message me with new branch fall data as you collect it
Hi Con, Sorry for the late reply but thank you for the info. Next time, would you be able to get the length of the branch, and the circumference of the thicker end too please? Also note if the branch appeared to be alive or dead when it fell - so if there are leaves attached it's likely to have been alive. Thanks heaps
