Hi SimoneC, this is a very exciting and significant find! You have photographed a species for which we have no records at all in our area, the closest that I'm aware of is on the coast (and only as far south as Jervis Bay) and around Sydney. Do you have any other details about this sighting, like how long it stayed around for, if it has been seen on several different days etc? Huge congratulations, and well done!

Hi Suzi, that’s really exciting. I’ve only seen it once but will keep an eye out for it again. It was quite noticeably different as it flew around. What sort of plant do the larvae feed on? We have a couple of hectares of vey diverse weedy/messy garden
