The black forelegs do not fit Chezala privatella. Maybe he has been walking in mud.

Thanks. He was on my washing line in daylight, legs distinctively black and velvety, sorry my photos don't do him justice.

OK, yes, good point, but I thought I saw blackish legs on the other C. privatella CNM postings.

Most Chezala privatella seem to have legs darker than the body and wings, some very dark.
