This is the first record of this Jewel Beetle in the ACT region since a 1955 record from near Casuarina Sands . It is also one of the most easterly records for the species

ID from Stuart Harris. He informed me that there is only one previous ACT record of this species, from 1955.

Well done again Luke. ID also from Allen Sundholm, one of Australia's leading jewel beetle experts. There is a similar species called Castiarina crockerea though C. testacea has far more pronounced ribbing on its elytra. To my knowledge this is also one of the most eastern records for this sp. according to ALA.
