I think this mint bush is actually local to your area but not Canberra

That's interesting, thanks. They're on a rocky south-facing slope in some dry sclerophyll forest that is undisturbed, so almost certainly native to this locality. I'll see if I can find more.

Just did a bit more exploring, and the whole southern flank of the hill is covered with these - at least 100 plants.
