I assume a casemoth of some kind or other.

That long thing that looks like a stick in the centre of the image is what I believe the casemoth to be.

Please could you take it into captivity, and try to get a photo of the larva when it pokes its head out to feed and perambulate? And indeed in due course get a moth we could identify?
