User's notes

Two similar looking flowers with spots, post anther lobe hooded, mop-like tufts on column arms. The interesting difference between the two plants were the leaves - one was broad flat and channelled, the other was fleshy narrow and channelled.

I would have said it looks like T. simulata, but the column apex looks too inflated, too smooth and too yellow. A couple of other similar looking plants were confirmed as T. simulata https://canberra.naturemapr.org/sightings/1948099. I don't know much about x truncata, but this does look like it could be a juncifolia/pauciflora hybrid.

Thanks for the suggestion Derek, and for your comment Matt. I also thought that the post anther lobe didn't look like simulata, and that's why I suggested truncata. Is there another name for the juncifolia/pauciflora hybrid? Is x truncata just for ixoides hybrids?

I would assume it's just x truncata. Juncifolia and ixioides are basically the same thing, so I would hope they both use x truncata. I don't know how you would be able to tell otherwise.
