Once again sorry for terrible pic. There were lots of dragonflies around, but not sure if all the same species. definitely some appeared smaller than this one.

This emperor would be the biggest of the dragonflies you might expect there. Tau Emeralds would be a likely bet for the majority of slightly smaller dragonflies.

There is a BioBlitz at Gooroo Yaroo happening on 7 November. I'll be leading a morning and an afternoon session focussing on dragonflies. We should pick up at least a dozen species I'd say. It's organised by the Citizen Science Association but I can't seem to Google anything about it...
