I suspect this is a Gambusia rather than a Galaxias. Fin shape, eye location and scale definition are more gambusia. Often they are observed waving their tail fin slightly even in still water.| Insufficient or inconclusive evidence | 9 Oct 2020 | MattBeitzel | ||

This is my first fish sighting so I'm hoping there is enough for a general ID at the very least. Apologies if not. There were 3-5 in a small pool that was part of the creek (which has water in it for the first time I remember in years). I estimate between 3-4 cm in length
