This species is remarkable because the caterpillars feed on different types of fungi, and have been successfully reared on cultivated Oyster Mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus). According to Moths of Victoria it is not commonly seen or collected. This moth only settled for less than a minute, so I am lucky to have the photo!
