Not sure, maybe koala? scratch marks about 1.5m up tree, scratches about 10cm long and 1cm apart.

I asked Rod Pietsch (NSW Environment) about whether he thought these scratches were made by a Koala. Rod replied that "I suspect not, with koalas it tends to be a shorter scratch and an obvious puncture in the trunk.

Possibly goanna? "
