About 20cm across growing on large horizontal branch of eucalyptus.

The colour, size and masses of chew holes convince me that this is make Laetiporus portentosus, but usually you see it growing out somewhat hoof-like from the side of a branch or trunk. I can't recall seeing a specimen of this species growing upwards, but occasionally fungi that normally grow out shelf-like to hoof-like do grow out from the upper surface of wood.

I saw it was fairly well chewed but thought it was unusual to see it growing like this.
