User's notes
Looked like some sort of fungus, largest roughly diameter of a 5c coin. The ones no in holes revealed a single stalk with a 'cup' head, that looked somewhat like a large gum nut. Firm when pressed with twig. Situated in shaded culvert on side of fire trail through pine plantation.
