This Brown Lacewing has identical wing venation to that of Psychobiella sordida fig 27, Australian Hemerobiidae, T R New 1988. The trouble is that wing venation varies in a species and New used male genitalia to distinguish between P. sordida and P. occidentalis. Note that the vein branching at the base of the costa is different on the left and right wing of this specimen.
