All the gills seem to be attached to the stem and I can see no remnants of either a universal or partial veil - so that would rule out Amanita. I'd guess that this is a species of Russula. When fresh, Russulas can break easily and cleanly ("like chalk", the field guides say). The photos suggest that, but of course don't prove it.
