This moth had flashes of gold when in flight.

The patterning is very similar to Scruffy Case Moth, but I'm not sure if its "Scruffy" enough.

Specimens of A. moretonella on the ALA show quite a large variation regarding the amount of white present from sparse black and white to very white examples. Bold Systems 4 shows 6 named species of the Ardiosteres genus, with I think two others: A. lacerata and A. tetrazona showing a similar pattern to A. moretonella. I would prefer a side-on view of the forewing pattern. however think this specimen is most likely A. mortonella
