Very common around Mt Rogers, in flower at the moment.

It may be a narrow leaved form of Cassinia longifolia. I am not really sure. So if you have a collecting permit (if not Michael Mulvaney can organise one) could you collect a piece of flowering stem, press it, and take it to the Botanic Gardens for IDing when it has dried and the gardens have reopened.

Hi Betty. No, I have no collecting permit. I have seen Michael Mulvaney's name on another sighting so will contact him. THank you. There is quite a lot of the plant in flower at the moment around Mt Rogers
