I think that the displayable coloured bands behind the head put in Lasiocampidae. It is quite like Steve's picture of a Genduara acedesta larva MOV1, but I do not know if that has displayable coloured bands. I have only seen them in Entometa and Paraguda species.

There are no caterpillars this hairy in Noctuidae.
