An escaped domestic rabbit in a warren?

Maybe, but its the same shape as the wild one nearby. There is an uncommon wild 'yellow rabbit' colour form. Perhaps it is just that.

Quite a few of the rabbits at the botanic gardens are yellow also. Most of the babies I've seen there are yellow.

Need to find a few 'blue' ones somewhere and you're set up for a lovely doona. Probably only need 60 for a double bed.
