Suspect Castiarina decemmaculata sp. showing elytral patterning variation but have been unable to locate supporting photo ref's.

I'd say that's what you are looking at Owen. In the field I have observed broad variation in that sp. My access to ANIC collection is not possible at present time, may help find other examples of variation in this species.

No worries Owen, another locally common, and at times confusing jewel beetle is Castiarina flavopicta which not only has pattern, but myriad colour variation as well; can be challenging!
