Thanks Bron for the sighting. Nice pick up! Have you other photos, e.g. with a side-on view etc. to help ID to species? Your suggestion looks correct but it would be good to have a bit more information as this species hasn't been recorded on CNM before. ALA records and the David Rentz Guide to Cockroaches in Australia also indicate it's not something we would expect to see in our area. Thanks, Sandra :)

Hi Sandra Thanks for your interest :) I've photographed this cockroach in Hall, Melba, ANGB, Calvary Hosp. Dunlop and Townsville over 10 years. Lightroom metadata is useful - I can see I took the shots in Jan each time except 1 in Dec and one in Feb. I have 16 photos to show you so will make a quick Google album and post the link. The program causes the pix to be a bit less clear so if you need better resolution on any of them I could send individually. Thanks Bron. Great pics. I have added the species to CNM and will check through our Ellipsidion sp. general sightings as well. Be great if you could add the photos in your link to CNM as sightings. Always pleased to find another cockroach enthusiast. ;)
