Well-shaded area of Aranda Bush land. Near to fire trail, an area which was burned in the areas most recent reduction burn.

Probably a slime mould, part way through the transition from the mobile, feeding stage to the stationary, sporing stage. Given the colour and size a very reasonable guess (but not guaranteed to be perfect) is Fuligo septica.
